AI Enabled Industrial Procurement & Geopolitical Upheaval
Two webinars with technology partner Tacto: a geopolitical read on the Hormuz crisis and energy shock — and how AI keeps industrial procurement capable of acting in 2026.
Industry:
Industrial Procurement
Region:
Europe / DACH
Period:
2026 Q1 & Q2
Scope:
Geopolitics, Energy & AI in Procurement

Situation
Together with technology partner Tacto, I used two webinars to frame what these disruptions mean for industrial procurement — from the Hormuz blockade to the biggest energy crisis since 1973.

Implementation & Result
Beyond framing the Hormuz crisis and energy shock geopolitically, the sessions with practice partners such as Hymer and Sonax showed how structured risk management and AI-supported tools enable purchasing teams to fend off price increases based on facts and build alternative suppliers before a crisis hits.
